For those of you interested in learning the Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 10 return date, you’re not alone.
As of the time of this writing, The CW has not officially confirmed when the time-travel series starring Caity Lotz and Brandon Routh will be back on the air — and that’s a shame. Maybe it’ll change after the episode tonight, but what we do know is that the network is moving the show from Tuesday nights where it would air after The Flash.
Is this incredibly depressing news to report? We’d say so in just about every way possible. Legends of Tomorrow had a pretty lukewarm first season at best, but since that time it has evolved slowly into one of the most entertaining shows on the air. Giving the show a clear leader in Sara Lance was a worthwhile move, as was bringing over a villain like Damien Darhk to this series was really perfect for his particular brand of evil. This is a show that deserves as much support from the network as it can possibly get.
If we had a hope here, it’s that Legends of Tomorrow season 3 will simply be starting back up in the spring with the remainder of its episodes either following Supergirl or on the other side of Black Lightning airing its own short run — anything other than seeing this show air on Friday nights. There isn’t that much of a reason to shift the series over to the TV graveyard given that it’s still drawing ratings that are just as good as many other original shows on the network — it’s also outperforming some others including Valor, Dynasty, Jane the Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
As for what we’re going to get story-wise on the second half of the season, at the top of the list is Mallus and plenty of him. This is the season 3 Big Bad and unlike some of the other others shows in the Arrow-verse, some of what makes it different is that we don’t know all that much about the guy yet. There’s still an air of mystery about Mallus and that is something that we hope the show dives into more.
Update: The promo below confirms a February return for Legends of Tomorrow — and more of John Constantine.
